WWF Marine Awareness Day 2016

* Chargeable activities have a limited number of places and these will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. These activities require on-site registration and payment. Payment will be cash only and no change will be provided. WWF will decide whether or not to operate the boat trip after assessing the local weather conditions on the day. All boat trip participants must be aged 5 and above.
WWF Marine Awareness Day Visitor Guidelines:

  1. The WWF-Hong Kong Hoi Ha Marine Life Centre (“the Centre”) is located in Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park. Activities conducted within marine parks are subject to the regulations of the Marine Park Ordinance (Cap 476). Visitors are encouraged to read through the AFCD’s marine parks visitor code before their visit. (Please visit http://goo.gl/It0Fd0)
  2. Please note that the majority of the Hoi Ha Wan area has no mobile signal coverage. We suggest that you download your e-ticket in advance. Printed tickets will also be accepted.
  3. You should arrive during your assigned time slot, which is printed on your ticket. WWF reserves the right to close the Centre gates during the last 15 minutes of each time slot.
  4. To ensure that precious marine life is protected and that all visitors enjoy a pleasant visit, please pay close attention to the following:
    • Keep quiet and keep the area clean;
    • No smoking, no littering;
    • Please do not bring animals, bicycles or baby strollers into the Centre. Guide dogs accompanying visually-impaired visitors will be allowed however;
    • Please note that some areas of the Centre are not open to visitors;
    • Some areas of the Centre are only accessible via staircases. Elderly or visually impaired visitors may use the stairs’ handrails to guide themselves. When accessing such areas, please seek assistance from our staff if necessary.
  5. Be considerate and avoid causing disturbance to other visitors. When passing through Hoi Ha village, respect the villagers and do not damage or interfere with any private property.
  6. Visitors are responsible for their own safety. They are also responsible for looking after their children and are required to follow the instructions of our staff at all times. WWF will not be liable for any loss of personal belongings or for any injuries sustained during the event.
  7. Please take public transport to Hoi Ha Wan. There are no parking areas, and no car permits will be granted to visitors.
  8. WWF Marine Awareness Day will be cancelled without prior notice under inclement weather conditions or if other unforeseen circumstances make it impossible to proceed with the event.
  9. WWF reserves the right to make the final decision with regards to any disputes arising from WWF Marine Awareness Day.
